UPSC Educational Qualifications:

 Specialist Grade- III Assistant Professor (Neurology):

1. A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the 1st step or 2nd step or Part II of the 3rd step (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the 3rd step should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
2. Post-Graduate degree in the concerned specialty or super specialty mentioned in Section A of 4th step from recognized Teaching Institute i.e. Doctorate of Medicine (Neurology) ; or Diplomate National Board (Neurology).
3. Partially 03 years teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar or Assistant Professor or Lecturer in the concerned Specialty or Super Specialty in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining the 1stPost Graduate degree.

 Research Officer (Social Studies):

1. Master’s Degree in Anthropology (with specialization in Cultural or Social Anthropology) or Sociology from a recognized University.
2. 02 years experience of Social Research on Village and Community Studies with special reference to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes.

 Senior Scientific Officer (Lie – Detection):

1. Master’s Degree in Psychology or Criminology from a recognized University or equivalent.
2. 03 years Research / Analytical experience in Applied Psychology or Criminology / Crime Investigation.

 General Duty Medical Officer (Homeopathy):

1. Degree in Homoeopathy of a recognized University or Statutory State Board / Council of equivalent recognized under the Homoeopathy Central Council Act, 1973 (59 of 1973).
2. Enrolment on State Register or Central Register of Homoeopathy.

Age Limit:

  • Specialist Grade- III Assistant Professor (Neurology): 40 years.
  • Senior Scientific Officer(Lie-Detection): 35 years.
  • General Duty Medical Officer (Homeopathy): 35 years.
  • Research Officer (Social Studies): 35 years.

Application Fee: 

1. Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- either by dispatch the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa / master credit /debit card.

2.  No fee for SC / ST / PH / Women candidates of any community. No “fee exception ” is available to Gen / OBC / EWS male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.

3.  No representation against such rejection would be entertained.

4.  Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.

Age Relaxation:

The normal age limit and the age is relax able for SC / ST candidates up to 5 years. 3 years for OBC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them. SC / ST / OBC candidates have to produce a caste certificate in prescribed Performa.
